New requirement to consult
Employers will be required to consult about their tips policy with trade union or workers' representatives, or directly with affected staff, before completing a first version of it.
The first version of the policy must then be made available to the affected staff.
Employers will be required to consult and review the policy at least once by the policy's third anniversary, and then again no more than 3 years after the last review.
After each consultation, employers must provide an anonymised summary of the views expressed in it.
